Concrete Driveways
A driveway is the first thing a concreter is judged on, because it sits at the front of the house for decades. The jobs that come through here run from replacing a cracked old strip to pouring a full new driveway on a new build, in plain grey or a coloured mix. The concreters in this community handle the whole job: excavation and base prep, formwork, steel mesh, the pour, the finish and the control joints that keep cracking where it belongs. You get a written quote after someone has actually looked at the site. Send the length and width if you know them, a photo of the current surface, and whether there is any slope or drainage to work around. That is usually enough for a real price.

Concrete Slabs
A slab is the part of a build you never see again and always rely on. The slab jobs through this service run from small shed bases to full house slabs on new sites, including the big burnished floors you see in the photos on this site. Slab work is quoted off the engineering where it exists: thickness, mesh, edge beams and piering all come off the plan. For a shed or garage, the concreter works from your dimensions and the supplier spec, and the moisture barrier and mesh go in as standard, not as extras. Send the plan if you have one, or the length, width and what is going on top of the slab. Photos of the site, especially access for the truck and any slope, get you a faster and firmer price.

Footpaths and Walkways
The footpath photos on this site are real jobs from this community: long runs beside buildings, curved paths through landscaping, and side access paths down the narrow side of a house. It is unglamorous work that shows every mistake, so it rewards a crew that sets levels properly. Path jobs are priced off length, width, finish and access. A broom finish is the standard for grip. Where the path meets a driveway or a road crossing, levels and drainage are worked out before the pour, not after. Send the rough run of the path, the width you want, and a photo of the ground it crosses. If it is for a body corporate or a commercial site, say so up front so access and hours are sorted in the quote.

SERVICE 04
Crossovers
The crossover is the strip of driveway between the road and your property line, and every Victorian council has its own spec for how it gets built. Depth, mesh, finish and the layback shape all come off the council standard, and most councils want the work inspected or approved. The concreters in this community build crossovers to the local spec: the old surface out, base compacted, mesh set, and the pour matched to the road and the driveway on either side. The photos on this site show real crossover work, traffic management included where the road calls for it. Send your suburb and council, photos of the current crossing, and whether it is a new crossover or a replacement. Council requirements get sorted in the quote, so there are no surprises after the concrete is down.

SERVICE 05
Burnished and Polished Concrete
Burnished concrete is the finish you see in the big slab photos on this site: the surface trowelled smooth with a machine until it takes on a slight sheen, then sealed. It gives you a floor that is hard-wearing, easy to clean and needs no covering at all. The finish comes from timing and machine work, not coating, so it has to be planned before the pour. The concreters here burnish new slabs for interiors, garages, alfresco areas and commercial floors, and they will tell you honestly where the finish suits and where it does not. Send the size of the slab, whether it is interior or outdoor, and what the space is used for. If you want a particular look, a photo of a floor you like gives the concreter something real to match.
